All you have to do is put a bunch of shite on your desk and kind of spread it around so you look really busy then avoid making eye contact and you won't be talked to for most of the day

I'm one of the only employees who turned my desk around so my monitors faced the back wall of my office instead of the door/window.

They didn't think I was going to let them see my TD monitor did they

I don't work in an office where much stupidity occurs, but the phrase I dread is "grab a pad and swing by."

It isn't terrible or anything, it just means 30 minutes of talking about something I could be doing.
