They serve it at pretty much every Western F1 GP. I always thought it was odd given Ozzies don't drink it much. Great Northern, XXXX, and Carlton are what you see most in Australia but they are also pretty regional so it differs in different areas. You also get to choose whether you want a stubby, tinny or tally. A 12oz beer is right between a stubby and tinny.

good question, i dont recall ever seeing a can, it was always called a pint and was in mugs that they filled from draft kegs from what i remember.
i dont think they did product placement advertising in his movies

Fosters is the weak piss they sell to the Yanks. Hell, the last time I looked at a bottle of Fosters in the U.S., it was bottled in Canada. If you go down to Oz and order a Fosters, you'll likely be hauled out of the pub and get your arse kicked. Play it safe and order a VB (Victoria Bitter) or a Tooheys.

In 1986 our Rugby coach was from Australia. At the end of the season we bought him a case of Foster’s and brought it up to the Vet School to celebrate.
He looked at it and said “That’s the cheapest piss they sell in Australia, nobody drinks that.”
We said sorry and started to leave, he told us to wait seeing that we’d already bought it, we might as well drink it.
It didn’t last long and he was right…

When I was working down in Australia I asked my friends about Fosters and they all thought it was nasty and never drank it. I dont like it either.

I know a few Aussies, they frickin hate Fosters and it's association with Australia because of the stupid commercials. VB is the Bud (before the current debacle) of Aussieland.
