re: What are your thoughts on reaction videos?

You should film a reaction video to the replies of your post.

I enjoy the ones where people are encountering things outside their normal social bubble.

Depends on the reactor and what they’re reacting to. The Fine Brothers bullshite videos are complete amateur bullshite, and those hacks tried to copyright the word “React” so that anyone who makes a react video has to pay them like a 10% copyright fee to all their videos. That is the most horrific stereotypical Jewish behavior I’ve ever heard where pretty much anyone who is Jewish and has a YouTube channel completely ripped on the Fine Brothers trying to copyright the word “react” so they can make money off of everyone and not have to do shite except sue them.

"Reaction" vids are THE DUMBEST thing ever.

The people now been using them for years are actually make some serious $$$. But many happen to be relying on naive assumptions and exploitation of (black) supposed stereotypes.

This isn't intended to be a knock on blacks, but many of these "Reaction" vids happen to be made by (alleged urban) blacks who are supposedly totally oblivious to and insulated from past culturally "white" music.

Black actors invariably then feign pleasant shock at LIKING IT VERY MUCH (with "reactions" of "Whoa!!" "Loved the beat and guitars!" and "You mean there's OTHER good white music like this I haven't heard??"). Such obvious BS. Such cringe.

MORE white viewers (aka bu$$iness) somehow keep on taking the bait, encouraged to continue "introducing" and "surprising" the black viewer with newer, subsequent "pleasant musical surprises" claimed to have "never EVER heard before!"

That this self-serving business model / con has been so successful and still works (and is believed) is...astonishing.

I don't mind those that much for some reason. It's fake as hell, but at least it's somewhat entertaining.

Movie trailer reaction videos are the craziest.

It's just another form of (potentially) good entertainment. I enjoy reaction videos if the creator is legit and not overacting. It's usually easy to tell.
