I’d never tell them because to do so would be rude; but I pity them.

Not having kids is the shite.

At least once a month someone I know with kids has a breakdown and confides to me about how awful it is. No thanks

Funny how the people with kids have such strong feelings towards those without, but it’s not reciprocal.

Makes sense. People that are bitter / upset usually are like that, while those that are genuinely happy have a more “live and let live approach”.

Go read some of the posts on r/regretfulparents. They took the sub private recently but you can read old posts and holy shite, it is really fricked up.

I don't understand this sentiment. We have four children and we all live in different states. We take vacations and visit and get together sometimes on holidays. But we are not going to pick one and just move in when we get old

We have longterm care insurance and retirement provisions and plans the same as if we didn't have children.

The correlation between the type of people who post on Reddit and those who regret having kids doesn't surprise me at all.

Some others have stated this same thing.

But I’m almost 30. Been married 4 years. Have never used any form of contraception or birth control with my wife. We have a very healthy marriage in all aspects.

We are convinced we have some sort of medical/infertility issue. If it is meant to be I believe the Lord will bless us with one. If not, no biggy. We will continue to travel, live life, and enjoy our time together. I don’t sweat it.

I don’t have “strong feelings” toward people without kids. That’s their choice. But as I said above, and I’d never be rude enough to tell them this, but I do pity them.

People with kids are not generally bitter over giving kids. That’s absurd and smacks of over compensation for shortcomings in life on your part. Nobody is jealous of you not having kids.

Yeah man! You’re definitely a prime example of someone childfree not having strong feelings about those with kids.

Well, yeah, I do have strong feelings. But they’re not towards anyone other than myself, and those strong feelings are just feelings of gratitude that I don’t have any

I think people take the brief envy of "wishing" you were untethered and act like it's a genuine desire to unwind your life and not have kids.

Very few people saying "man you've got it made" to the guy without kids really wishes he didn't have kids/a family.

Some people should never reproduce.

I think people who have kids take every brief moment of envy from their non-friend kids the same way. The difference is they can decide to have kids (assuming biology favors them). You can't now decide to not have them.

Very few people saying, "man, you've got it made" to the guy with kids really wishes he did have kids/a family. Because literally none of them say that.

When I was young. I wanted to have kids. Its like i had a smell no one wanted or maybe i didnt have any confidence in myself. Now being close to 40. I wish i could have found someone.

But ill be paying off my house off this year and buying another one next year to prep for a new start when I hit the big 40. Maybe new location.

I might start an animal santuary or something to deal with the crippling loneliness

I don’t trust a human that doesn’t want to reproduce. You might as well become a tranny if you’re going to deny your biological existence.

Kids are hard work, and require time and attention. We live in a lazy and selfish society. It's not hard to figure out why there are regretful parents.
