Doubles tennis should not exist.
Singles tennis is so much fun, and such a great workout.. Doubles is like someone decided, on a whim, to just throw in another person on either side.. it’s like if some football official back in the day decided to double up on both sides of the ball, and played with 44 players on the field at a time .

I am pretty sure this is meant to be played drunk and/or high and/or as an excuse to get laid. But that's my prurient mind speaking.
Eta: this reminds me of the LSU courts back in the day when the Asians would play doubles (and singles for that matter) while smoking. See also LSU union pingpong.
