Unfortunately I've had dealings with cops more than most, including 3 arrests(No duis)... most I have dealt with were honest and respectable, but I would estimate 20% were not.. I've been lied to and tricked and treated like shite more than I thought I would have been

I have only received two tickets in my life.
Rest of the times I was let go with a warning.
Being a chick AND a nurse has perks. Couple times I was let go I know it was cause I was a chick. Other times I had my scrubs on and was leaving or going to work....once I told them where I worked at (and they saw my work id)they let me go and told me to either go home and get some rest or to have a good shift.

You're blonde, a woman, and attractive. Your privileges are suffocating me right now. Please leave.

I've been stopped in excess of 20 times and never been shot. I've been let go with only a warning at least six times. Never really had a bad experience.

Deserved it everytime. Officers were always professional.
Only fun was a state trooper pulling me over because he though I was drinking a beer. It was just a root beer so he kind of looked embarrassed

Got pulled over once in a school zone. I had been pulled over 3 times before and never cried.... I'm not one of those "oh I'm going to cry and maybe he'll let me off" types. But this time I immediately started bawling. I didn't mean to, just couldn't help it. He felt bad, but still have me the ticket. Worst part is he tried to talk to me and joke with me to cheer me up.... It just made me more angry. Found out the next week I was pregnant. Totally explained things!

Cops in South Texas are the worst. Stopped for speeding, had car searched and they found nothing. Still got arrested and then threatened to deport me. My comment of them not being able to deport me because of federal laws got me a nice 2 nights all expenses paid stay in jail

I was pulled over once for going 30 in a 20. He got me just as I turned off of a highway onto a residential street. He tried to tack on being in a school zone although it was during the summer, and I wasn't actually in a school zone. That would have doubled the fine. He also gave me a ticket for a busted tail light even though I had it covered with the tape. I thought you couldn't get a ticket if you had it covered but whatever. When I went to pay it the clerk said that she didn't know what the cop was on about with the school zone stuff since I wasn't in one, and she took it off the ticket. It was about a $300 ticket. It would have been about $600. For going 10 over.
The other time I got pulled over was by unmarked drug police in Kenner. We pulled up to a 4 way stop. I was on the left. The SUV was on the right. I pulled in front of him. We went about a block or two, and saw flashing light so I pulled over. They never gave us cause for being pulled over. They pulled us out of the car, patted us down, searched our pockets, and without permission searched my truck. Of course they found nothing. Then they gave us a lecture about drinking and driving (we had a case of beer in the car but had not been drinking) and let us go with a warning. A warning for what? I have no idea.
I was pulled over when I was in school at LSU for having expired brake tags. He ran the registration and commented how the car was registered in my own name unlike a lot of other students then let me go with a warning. He was pretty nice and reasonable.
Those are all 3 times that I have been pulled over. Mixed bag. I tried to be polite each time. I get nervous whenever I deal with them, even if I am doing nothing wrong.

Never really had a problem. I've always been respectful and have been let off the hook more times than not.
Only time I've had a problem is with the State Patrol when he indicated I was traveling faster than I was. That was the only time I went to court and it got thrown out

Stopped at a roadblock and ordered to get out with hands up at the muzzle end of several shotguns and handguns. My car and I vaguely fit the description of a murder suspect. After a search and a few questions I was told I can roll on.

I was pulled over this morning for only the 2nd time in my 15 years of driving - I don't usually drive fast, but a construction zone got me. Officer was very polite and let me go with a warning - it probably helped I had my ACUs on for drill today

"yes sir / no sir"goes a long way IMO. I've gotten off with a warning about half the time. Can't say I have ever gotten a ticket I didn't deserve.

Well. Since I'm white it usually goes like this
Well good evening officer
Good evening fellow citizen. Just wanted to warn you of the expired license plate.
Thank you my friend
Have a nice night
That's about it

All cops are bullies and all bullies are cowards. If you stand up for yourself and let them know you're not intimidated, they'll back down every time. Be assertive and make sure that they know that they work for you and you pay their salaries.

3 times in 20 years or so.
1- Warning ticket.(State)
2- Ticket, had that dealt with.(Local)
3- Let me go after checking everything and running the numbers on a pistol.

I caught a Rodney King beat down by members of three different departments when I was 16 but the arrest likely saved my life or the life of whoever I might have plowed into.
I was already very drunk, and when my girlfriend and I pulled into a DUI checkpoint, I swallowed a large handful of xanex that I had on me. After they had us out of the car, my loudmouth girlfriend called one of them a pig, and he backhanded her in the mouth hard enough to knock her to the ground. I made one step towards the cop and the beating commenced. By then the xanex kicked in. I remember saying "my grandma hits harder than that" and one of the cops said " does your grandma do this?" and pepper sprayed me.
By the time we got to the station house they had beaten my pants and shoes off of me and they left me hogtied in the lobby, half naked, until the transport to juvenile hall arrived. I spent the next 6 months in juvie and boot camp(wasn't my first arrest), and my loudmouth girlfriend left me for another guy.
I learned a lot of valuable lessons that night, and in the 21 years since, I haven't had a single ticket, haven't even been pulled over. I'm also glad tasers weren't around then.

have received less than i should have more often than not ... most cops aren't unethical ... but the bad ones who overstep their boundaries rarely get punished, it seems ...

The last two speeding violations I was pulled over and released without a ticket. I was honest and respectful and told to go on my way. Both times were after midnight and I'm pretty sure they were drunk hunting.

My experience is that cops are dicks.
