Nothing. My family is putting together the money we would spend on each other for Christmas and donate to a family flooded by Harvey.

You should put yourself up for adoption. That’s the gift your dad has always wanted.

Because I'm from Beaumont Texas and not Puerto Rico.

Gift certificates to Sunrise Catfish Farm off 171 near Deridder. He's 72 and still works as a Safety man at the plants. In fact, he works more since Mom passed. He's put in enough time doing "real" fishing and now enjoys the time and expediency of filling of a couple ice chests full of catfish in record time. Plus, he takes the grandkids with him a lot.

Mine is in an urn on my mantle. He never was big on the outdoors so instead of scattering his ashes like at his old country or the mountains I just pour him out on the carpet.

Then I vacuum him back up.

Got him a case of Nova Vert.

He loves the Parish good shite but can hardly find it in his area. I'll be out of state for Christmas so I'm going down there next weekend for our Christmas so it'll be good and fresh.

Hate to hear about our fellow posters whose fathers aren’t here to buy presents for. I’m sorry for your losses.

Unlike past years, my pop sent me a list of things he’s looking for. He’ll be getting a replacement cartridge and a preamp for his turntable. Looking forward to spinning some vinyls with him.

This will be my first Christmas without my dad. Lost him suddenly about 2 months ago. It will be a tough one. He was a great man that I could only hope to be half as good as he was.

Cherish the time you have with him, gents. It's precious and you never know when the time will come.
