Yeah... My ex was sexy, kind, intelligent, sweet. She was also cruel, bat shite crazy, and a danger to herself and anyone around her.

At first, the breathtaking levels of depravity are quite enticing.

But you can only beg a woman to stop crying in the closet (because you wouldn't choke her until she passed out) so many times before you realize it has to end.

You don’t seem stressed enough to have a borderline wife

If you did you’d be telling us all the crazy shite she does to you

I got married in 2006 brother and we dated for a few years before that. You asked mikelbr if we know each other and I'm not sure. I used to hang out at Les' with the rugby crew quite a bit. It's how I met my wife who mikee knows fairly well.

Paige my wife lost her mind for 3-4 years. I expected and at times wanted a divorce for my child's sake. And then she came back to earth, straightened up and returned to the woman I married. This was 4-5 years ago

Again, not trying to "hit on you".. just being honest, but props to you for being confident enough to be up front with that stuff.

We all interact with each other on almost a daily basis, but after awhile you realize that there are some people who talk shite, etc who no one really knows anything about, but anyone who says "hey, this is me. I've had my problems, but this is me today" means that person is at a point they are comfortable with who they are.

Alright, I had a weak moment and gave you two compliments tonight. That's too much.

Negative. The pics I have are literally locked up.

There in case she ever tries to work her way back into my life.

Paige is a very kind person to open up about herself despite the crap she could get for posting it. I admire her for it.

I watched a (relatively) attractive Borderline frick her way through about 1/3 of a decent sized Drug Court before pulling a Samson and yanking the pillars crashing down on herself and everyone around her. Damned near collapsed the whole fricking program.

This is a very good description of the symptoms
quote:

I often feel “empty.”
My emotions shift very quickly, and I often experience extreme sadness, anger, and anxiety.
I’m constantly afraid that the people I care about will abandon me or leave me.
I would describe most of my romantic relationships as intense, but unstable.
The way I feel about the people in my life can dramatically change from one moment to the next—and I don’t always understand why.
I often do things that I know are dangerous or unhealthy, such as driving recklessly, having unsafe sex, binge drinking, using drugs, or going on spending sprees.
I’ve attempted to hurt myself, engaged in self-harm behaviors such as cutting, or threatened suicide.
When I’m feeling insecure in a relationship, I tend to lash out or make impulsive gestures to keep the other person close

I am just trying to do my part of making mental illness less taboo to talk about

People on this board are assholes. But there’s no reason for mental illness to be any more off limits than cancer or seizures

It’s something you’re most likely born with or that your parents instilled in you and you have no control over it

That sounds like her at the time. Not a doctor so maybe that's anecdotal

In my uneducated opinion, I think it is both.. It seems like (based on what I have seen) people who are born with it, it progresses and they don't start to show signs until they are at least a young adult.

Of course I am sure some people are born with some type of imbalance and their environment makes them progress faster.

But the obvious bad thing about it (one of them) is that people can't see it. And if people can't see it, they don't understand which hurts people who are suffering because of the way people behave towards them.

So yeah, people need people who understand. That seems like the best way for someone to get help. They need to connect.
