Meh. I got out of lobbying/fundraising not long after that. Money is rarely worth principles.

I was diagnosed as borderline and then went to therapy for 5 hours a day 5 days a week for 3 months and continued once a week for almost a year

Are you bipolar or borderline or both?

You seem to be very private yourself.

I had been diagnosed at bipolar many years before. I went to therapy and took meds

I continued to have a lot of problems so I started at a new therapist. He diagnosed me as borderline very quickly and recommended dbt. So I went to the dbt center of Houston and it changed my life

Gotcha. Not prying. Just curious because I didn't know.

Oh no, if you had a Borderline in your orbit, you'd know it. They are capable of leaving a path of destruction in their wake that rivals a god damned tornado, if a tornado were also capable of mind twisting levels of manipulation.

Paige, I don't know you, but I'm genuinely glad to hear you took the diagnosis seriously. That shite is hell.

Both

Life is not easy. But intensive dbt helped my borderline issues a lot and meds are pretty good at controlling my bipolar

Borderlines get a bad rap and most of them should but dbt is very helpful in learning to cope with your emotions and control your reactions

My boyfriend and I have been dating 3 years and living together for one. I’d say we’ve had about 5 disagreements in that time. We never fight which would’ve been impossible before dbt. Unfortunately most borderlines won’t get the help they need and many that are bipolar wont take their meds

My wife is way nuttier than my kid. I have a stepdaughter too (yeah I'm trashy) that I think is in between. My little one is just like me which is frightening.
