I have to go a county over to buy beer. Liquor stores are all closed. Only recently restaurants can serve it on sundays. It's some dranconian bs as far as I'm concerned

At brunch this morning I couldn't get a bourbon milk punch. Masons does it. Not sure why others don't serve

No alcohol sales on Sundays or Holidays, or after 10 PM. I live in BFE.

Noon. No liquor only wine and beer. CVS is usually 4-5 people's deep with alcohol at 11:58am.

Tuscaloosa only a few years ago began to allow Sunday alcohol sales.
And even now, sales are only allowed between something like noon and 9 PM.

Don't want no booze buying Baptists, heaven forbid, during regular church service hours.

At one time they stopped selling at 10 and not at all on Sunday but we overcame the brutal Baptist rule and now its 7 days a week.

Can get anything in a restaurant after noon. Most places ignore the noon thing.

Grocery stores sell beer and wine after noon.

Liquor stores are closed.

Jefferson county around Birmingham the liquor stores open at noon. They're closed in Shelby county but you can buy at restaurants. No beer or wine out there either. Still can't figure out why I can cross the street from Target on 280 I can get it at a liquor store but can't buy it in the Target. Whoever planned that one is stupid.

Can't buy any alcohol between 2 am and 6 am. At 6 am...can buy any kind of alcohol you want. Same as any other day of the week.

Can go to any bar on Sunday, they are open till 2 am...just like any other day of the week.

2AM to 12 PM in Mobile. They make exceptions for restaurants serving champagne for brunch I believe. Such a dumb law. Its the worst during football season and you have to wait until halftime of the Saints game to get beer if you don't plan ahead.
Several bars around town do stay open well past 2 AM though

I HONESTLY didn't know what a blue law was until my freshman year in BR. I was dumbfounded by closing at 2 and the Sunday bullshite.
