What are the qualifications to becoming a mod on TD?

Do all the mods have personal relationships with Chicken or do certain anonymous posters get asked randomly to become a mod due to their positive posting history?
Is there a list of all the current mods listed somewhere? Curious to know how many mods this site has.

I believe you have to deactivate your account for 1 year to be considered. I'd start A.S.A.P if I were you.

I believe 7thwardtiger at one time had the privilege, and I doubt he had ever met Chicken. I could be wrong.

yep that is "exactly" how it works, all you have to do is just ask and they give you the power to control what others can say and post, its a great system
