What are the odds we see the Catholic Church allow married priests in our lifetime?

I think it will happen. I think it will be a good thing for everyone. The Eastern Church has been doing it forever and they're doing fine.

They've made exceptions before. Our priest in high school converted from somewhere else, I forget where, but was already married and ordained. The pope made an exception and he was able to continue being a priest.

I haven’t a clue. I’ll ask my chaplain for his thoughts.

I don’t this would solve the problem. Teachers are allowed to marry yet they still molest little baws.

It's

Happening....

Today If a married Episcopalian (or Anglican) priest converts to Roman Catholicism, his priestly ordination is accepted as valid.

They already do to an extent. If you are a priest for one of the fake Christian Protestant sectors & convert to Catholicism, you can remain married.

If I am not mistaken, it's not uncommon in certain Latin American parishes. There are also the Eastern Rite Catholics that allow it.

They are married. They are married to the church, she is his bride.

it is well for them to remain unmarried as I am...it is well for you to remain as you are...do not seek a wife...he who refrains from marriage will do better...(I Cor., chapters 7-8 and 32-38)

Paul says that celibacy provides "unhindered devotion to the Lord. " (1 Cor 7:35) Jesus tells us "it is better not to marry...let anyone accept this who can." (Mat 19:10-12)

Depends if it’ll bring in more money for them or not. They have a tendency of changing their religion based on what’s profitable

Catholicism has been in a general decline since Vatican II, I'd say the fricked up if that was the purpose.

My priest for RCIA in 2010 said we'd see married priests before gay and women priests in next 100 yrs.
Something about that being much lesser 'wrong' than the other two in the eyes of baby jesus.

He wouldn't be wrong. If the Church starts ordinating gay people, then I don't expect Her to be around very much longer.
