My nephew is in 1st grade. He is learning nouns, verbs, adjectives, etc. And I didn't realize they taught them that in 1st, but then again I don't really remember when I first started learning about all of that shite.
He has a lot of homework for a 1st grader.. And there have been a few evenings where his parents had to fight with him to get him to do his homework and they get frustrated.. And it just makes me wonder. What about kids who have dumb as frick parents or parents who don't care? How do they help their kids with homework?

My son is a first grader at a good public school in Texas, and your kid’s teacher sounds crazy. The only “homework” that I have is to read with him every day, which I do for about 30 minutes. I think they have tests, but they are really just on topics that they cover during class. It’s nothing that he would be expected to study for at home, and he usually gets 100% on them. His class is even graded N/S for satisfactory/nonsatisfactory.

Conservatives cry about the state of our educational system. Educators take steps to enhance our system. Them conservatives cry about the solution.

That's all in line with what my son in the 1st grade is doing. Sounds normal to me.

Kids today can take standardized test with ease.
But don’t know how to sign their name in cursive, have basic money management fundamentals, or apply any craft trade what so ever.

Ah so you're one of "those" females eh? And what a stupid comment "you must be gay"
Nah, I only said it to show you how stupid your comment was accusing someone of having a small penis merely bc they're child got out of the desk and handled his business when another person punched the back of his head.
quote:
You dumb sloot straight men can think it's ridiculous to brag to the principle "I'm glad my kid broke a school rule" moron
ETA... Had nothing to do with being straight actually. You simply sound like a pussy bc it's more important to you that your child follow a rule even if it means getting punched in the head. "You stayed in your desk & raised your hand to tattle on someone punching you, son? I'm so proud of you!". Cough.. puss. cough..
Dumb sloot? And YOU? You dumb, sissified lil prick! Women can also be proud that their sons don't let anyone else hit on them, not just men "with tiny penises". This is the 2nd time you try to give me shite for using your own immature tactics while handing your arse back to you. I rather have a small penis than to be queer.. so there's that.
When the school rule forbids you to defend yourself when someone punches you in the back of the head, if I'm a moron for being proud that my child broke that rule then I will fckg wear that crown proudly. You can be proud that HeyHeyHogs Jr raises his hand to tell teacher each time someone hits him. My boy wasn't ever messed with again. But don't worry, he's a college sophomore & still BFFs w/ a lil boy he defended from a bully at daycare. My boy would've protected your son bc I raised him to use his size for doing good deeds.
quote:
I sit on a school board and have for several years, and it's one thing to not suspend a child who hits a bully as a last resort and is regretful that they had to and it's another to do so to a child who's parent is on record as saying he/she is proud that her child fights in school. Sounds like you're too dumb to grasp the distinction though.
Says the freaking idiot who can't differentiate between parents being proud their child got out of a desk & beat the shite out of a punk who came from behind & punched their skull from the parents who are just proud that their child fights in school. FYI... It's the bullies who just like to fight. I guess you either were one of your kid is one and it made you feel a certain type of way to read about my boy getting up and putting an asswhooping on a bully.

I'd stop trying to insult others regarding grammar and comprehension. When describing his school as hoity-toity he clearly was referring to your failed little attempt to insult me with your reference about "my story" and being from Livingston Parish.
Are you stupid or just being intentionally obtuse?

Yep that's her.
You probably aren't aware of this since your child is so young but my son had marks from that paddle but the red was fading fast. He said it hurt worse than when I spanked him with a belt and that all the kids think she swings a lot harder than the principal (a male) does. That was another reason I made sure to give her that distinct stare where she knew I was thinking "you bitch". A few short yrs later there was a news story about a young child who came home paddled with welps and bruises. The parents were so upset bc like me, they signed the waiver thinking it'd be a light paddle across the butt.
Guess who the administrator was? You guessed it. That bitchy snob herself. She was rewarded by being promoted to prinicipal for Walker Elementary. How ironic that her husband is none other than school board member John Cox.

People that don’t know the difference between principal and principle really shouldn’t be on the school board.
People who write run on sentences like your second paragraph shouldn’t be on the school board either. Better served taking some remedial English class.
