Overrated: Nashville, and it’s not even particularly close IMO.

Underrated: This board underrates multiple cities including New Orleans. I’d say Chicago is probably the most underrated on here though.

I’d say Detroit and Cleveland, both national punchlines, are actually kind of underrated imo.

Also, in relation to this board, anything California is underrated here imo.

New Orleans seems properly rated here, as most seem to grasp the steep highs and awful lows.

Some other cities in the southeast, Houston, Nashville, Atlanta, Charlotte, are probably a little over-valued here.

Pittsburg is arse. Ugly women, too hilly, food isn’t great. The baseball stadium is really cool though

It has an h in it, but we’re going up for the Packers Steelers this fall and I’ll report back. I’ve heard it’s underrated.

Milwaukee is underrated.

Milwaukee is fun. Awesome tailgating for brewers games, and I’m a cubs fan. Always had a blast.

Pizza in Chicago?

Cats outta the bag.

But seriously, art of pizza, best stuffed pizza in town. Not a great vibe but you can get takeout. I used to live a block away. Some of the best smash burgers in town at red hot ranch right next door. So good.

ETA: I’m fricking drooling thinking about it right now

San Francisco like many cities s fine if u stay in knobs hill, etc

I always thought Lafayette was underrated in the 90s.

Baton Rouge is underrated for food.

Austin is extremely overrated now as the traffic and assholes from California have ruined it.

A lot of the little Southern towns are vastly underrated for quality of life. Natchez is great for a few days. Hattiesburg seems like a nice place to live.

Overrated
Dallas: no significant advantages over other major employment hubs, real estate much less affordable than 5 - 20 years ago, flashy, money and business centric, no soul, poor climate, losing business and wealth to suburbs

Huntsville (AL): boring, not a great bargain on cost of living versus amenities, underdeveloped transportation network

Underrated
Fort Worth: better nature than Dallas, big population yet small town feel, Stockyards, friendlier more down to earth populace, not a rat race

San Antonio: tourist friendly cave systems, great Hill Country hiking in Bandera County, great Tex-Mex, good driveability, no tolls needed, great festivals, then the things its known for (Riverwalk, Six Flags Fiesta Texas, SeaWorld, Aquatica, Schlitterbahn, San Antonio Missions)
