(I'm a regular visitor there, but Milwaukee has certainly had its share of visitors. The French missionaries and explorers were going there as early as the late 1600s to trade with the Native Americans. It's actually pronounced 'mill-e-wah-que', which is Algonquin)
Does this guy know how to party or what!?

Underrated: Seattle
This was true 20 years ago. Lived in Seattle for 5 years and Portland for 10. Prettiest cities in the world, then the tent cities, homelessness, druggies and needles everywhere, shite on the street, etc etc took over. Went back to see friends last year for the LAST time. Will never go back unless it changes. Is truly sad

Underrated: Omaha - Not popular enough to attract white liberals from Chicago and the rest of the state keeps the ones that have moved in check politically. Decent infrastructure, lower crime than normal, weather isn't as bad as the rest of the plains.
I went for the CWS and I enjoyed that the city had more to offer than baseball

In almost every city you go to, someone you know has already been or lived there and occasionally will give helpful advice on places to go, things to do or something to eat. In Cincinnati, it was Skyline Chili, Chicago, it's one of the Chicago style pizza joints, Hawaii it was Poi and in Tuscaloosa, it's Dreamland Barbeque.
I think the one that recommended poi was fricking with you though.

Underrated: Pittsburgh- Great food scene, downtown and north northsore areas have a ton of dining/bar/things to do. Steelers, Pirates and Penguins all plan close to the bars and shops.
WTF? They don't call it Shitsburg for no reason.

Pittsburg is arse.
What do you know?
You can't even spell the name of the city correctly.
(not surprising for someone from Texas A&M)

I won’t argue with someone who lived there. Let’s just say I was talking about the whole Seattle area and all the things there are to do.. is that more fair????

I was not aware of that.

In fairness, you're better off having homemade pierogies then getting them from a restaurant. That's how my family was introduced to them. My Polish aunt made them from scratch

He's probably thinking Primanti's, which is basically something you do once to say you did it.
Might look better to someone who hasn't experienced po-boys.

All beer has to be purchased at a distributor. It is not sold at retail grocers(Giant Eagle, Wal-Mart, etc).

I agree that Newport is kind of cool. So is Providence.
Pittsburg probably gets slightly more hate than it deserves, but that whole area of PA is definitely a dump for the most part.
Cleveland, on the other hand, is pretty underrated. It’s almost universally shat on by people who haven’t been. But after people visit, their impression tends to change for the better.
Overrated is hard because there are so many. Charlotte maybe? People move there in droves but it’s honestly one of the most dead arse boring places I’ve ever been to.

I was in my hotel one night and wanted a 6 pack for the room. I walked down to the state liquor store and it was closed so I went into 7-11 (no beer).
I asked a cab driver in front of the hotel where I could get a 6 pack and he said "hop in and I'll take you".
He brought me to a bar and said go ask for a 6 pack to go. The problem I had with that was that I had to pay bar prices, so like $30 for what is $6.99 at a gas station here

The only true CITIES are NYC SF CHICAGO. None of which are overrated.
Most overrated halfway cities are probably in texas.

1000%. I was speaking more of the city proper, which was once as awesome as the surrounding area. But you are right. Day trips to the Olympics, endless hiking old growth western red cedar on Rainier, weekends in the San Juan islands. An hour from great fly fishing, 2 hours from insane fishing with nobody around. You cannot beat the PNW. It’s sad what’s happened to her once beautiful cities
