I have been surprised to learn that kids no longer say "rad" for "radical". They substitute "sick". But they definitely don't say "rad". Am I missing anything else? Trying to get an infusion of new blood to keep me from relic status. Thanks I'll hang up and listen.

Kids these days get jiggy with stuff. I'm not totally sure but I'm pretty sure it's code for butt stuff.

I don't understand "slinging shade." It makes absolutely zero sense. I tried to make sense of it, but it's up there with the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard outside of "on fleek." "Fleek" still remains the dumbest shite I've ever heard though.

I don't think kids have said rad for like 20-30 years. How old are you?

I heard my twelve year son say "fleek". No idea what it means. ETA he said it means good.

The one that I DO understand is that when someone steps barefoot in a fresh pile of dog shite they usually say, "Damn, I just got Rebeloked".

Roast and neck are the two I hear.

To roast somebody. We called it "a burn".

Neck-A way of someone receiving pain for stupid thoughts or ideas by giving them a hard slap on the back of their neck.

I like "on fleek". That one should stay a thing.

quote:

This was originated in the late 90s/early 00s under the pseudonym "the stupid slap". It was enacted by the giver of said slap uttering the initiation phrase, "gimme me".

Lit is now the catch-all term for anything that is cool/awesome/epic/etc.

100 means something that is "real" or "the truth".
