Tire patch kit and a bike pump. Having some soap and water to find the nail is good too.

Flashlight, gun, tac vest(from work), Land Rover specific tool kit, and some first aid stuff. Oddly enough, the tool kit that came with my car has some crazy stuff in it that you'd only need if you were legit in the jungle.

My HS English teacher always had a rope in his trunk. He said that it was essential if he ever was stuck on a bridge and traffic was about to pile up from behind and kill him.
In that event, he alleged that he would tie the rope to the side of the bridge and down climb it then dangle long enough to survive the giant pile up.

True story.

But for work we carry a first aid kit, fire extinguisher, road flares and of course all the essentials to change a tire.

Its good to have some items you would find in a first aid kit (bandaids, etc).

It would be a good idea to keep bottled water somewhere.. You really just never know when you might need it.

Cash.

I live on the road and have on occasion forgotten my wallet at home. Sucks being out of town, low on gas and realizing your wallet is at home.

Had this reminder. Learned to keep a small air compressor. They're slow, but they get the job done.
