Thankfully my wife hates clutter so our house is reasonably not full of useless crap.

That minimalism isn't some weird concept. The amount of meaningless purchases and accumulations looking back is absurd.

Women aren't big on minimalism.

For Men money = freedom.
For Women money = stuff and status.

Most women are baffled by a guy who has a million bucks in his 401k, is debt free, has a six figure income, and chooses to drive an older vehicle and live in a smaller home.

They act as if "what's the point of having all of that money if nobody knows you have it?".

Are these the same women you have to chain to the treadmill to lose the baby-weight?

I wish I understood the principles of saving and investing in my early 20's

1. Mathematics - I did the minimum necessary to advance. I’m trying to catch up informally and it is slow going. Mathematics is the key to everything.
2. Physics - Literally everything we know about the universe, and once again I only did the minimum.
3. Wealth equals freedom. Freedom to do the things in life that YOU want to do. I didn’t think much about accumulating wealth until my late 30’s. So much wasted time, that could have freed up the time I have now.

Learn as much about everything while you can in your teens and twenties. Focus on building wealth and finding a way to make the world a better place. Leave your mark.

I focused on small unit infantry tactics and weapons. It was fun and exciting, but wasn’t much of an investment in my future self. The time would have been better spent in the classroom. Be a sponge...devote everything to learning. Use the knowledge to make a difference. Avoid unnecessary distractions.

Grandma used to say a Mule works hard but he can't manage.

I know not all women are the same so dont throw rocks but I learned to never trust women that called me their soulmate. They always proved that to be false.

No matter how cool she is, no matter how different you think she may be, she will become her mother and she will eventually let the crazy surface.

Transparency has no place in your career. Everyone around you is a backstabbing piece of shite.

When a person is backed into a corner they will convince themselves damn near anything is the right thing to do.

If you are in any situation that involves money and other people, you better be prepared for that scenario.

Being "cool" is more about being true to yourself and what you love instead of keeping up with what's cool or the newest thing with the Joneses. Be passionate about something and don't be afraid to share it with real people in person. Fack all this online noise.

Not everything goes as planned.

Beating off is about a million dollars cheaper than having four kids with two women (ex wives).

Don't bother investing in friendships that are not reciprocal.

Be a better customer. You're paying for the talent, not the time it takes.

That my parents didn't know all the right answers, luckily I figured this out in my early 20's
