hmmm. I actually do this pretty often. the intent is never meant to be disrespectful though. that never even occurred to me.

Yeah it just means you didn’t cause any issues for the person, sometimes people who ask others to do things for them are not welcome. Deal with it.

“I mean” before every sentence. I have started to notice that most people do this. Old, young, doesn’t matter

"Sorry but" and "So" are really bad too

"No problem" isn't all that different from "de nada" in Spanish, which means "it's nothing". It's roughly equivalent to "don't mention it".

"It happens all the time so get over it." If something is consistently recurring, then that is not an excuse. It is an admission that it keeps happening and probably needs to be dealt with in some manner.

I say "no problem" all the time, it's second nature at this point. If anyone has ever gotten offended over it I've never noticed

I've never heard someone say "np" in my life. Is this really a thing now? Are people that fricking lazy?

Answering a thank you with "no problem" is the equivalent of saying "to be honest" in a conversation. It sends the wrong message whether you think it does or not.

I immediately stop the conversation and leave.
