You can make some pretty good money picking up lab samples from clinics and doctor's offices and delivering them to LabCorp, etc.
My son is going to be a Bio Chem senior at LSU this fall, he got his Phlebotomist license a few months ago, got a job at BR General in the lab and all he does is draw blood, picks up and delivers blood to different labs around the city......studies for the MCAT, he only works part time and still makes $20/hour and they pay his milage

FWIW, $100k isn't as well off as it was 4-5 years ago.
Any amount of money isn't as well off as it was 4-5 years ago.
Aside from the OT, where everyone makes over 6 figures, $100k is still about the 80th percentile in the US (86th percentile in LA).
Which means you're better off than most others.

Data center tech.
Don't need college, spend that money on Bicsi credentials, and use those to get your foot in the door in pretty much any data center. After two years of learning on the job, you either get a big raise or bail to a competitor for a big raise.
Downside is you have to live near a big data center. Those aren't always in great areas.
And it is physical, not like rig work physical, but you certainly aren't sitting on your arse all day. But it is air conditioned.

You mean like pry the doors open when it stops close enough to step out or actually move the elevator car if it's stuck and door kit accessible? I would be pissed if the fire dept was standing there with 5 different ways to open doors and they were just waiting on some one to show up to pry the door open.

Exactly how it was. As facility mgr, I had to go to a two day meeting with other operators about it. Two rural properties were excluded, but unless you were certified, those people were staying trapped until someone proper comes along.
Not that everyone abided by the rules....

Elevator game is a racket propped up behind endless regulations and laws.
Similar to fire sprinklers and alarms. But it's all "life safety" stuff so I'm ok with the regulations and laws because I don't want to die in a burning building or a falling elevator.

It would suck waiting for hours to be freed from one waiting on a tech though.

It’d suck worse to have an idiot alcoholic trying to work on an elevator I’m stuck in and get me seriously injured or killed

Commercial pilot. It will take time and money to get to required minimums but it’s absolutely worth it after you get paid. You have to love to fly or you will wash out and have a lot of debt. If you stick with it and become a legacy wide body FO or captain like where I am currently flying long haul flights you really start making good money. Go for a discovery flight first to make sure you like flying and if you do then you'll want to get your 1st class medical exam to make sure you qualify physically to be a commercial pilot.
