I always preferred wolverines or Georgia. Always got the kevlar and never had to break them in. Luckily my company paid for most of the cost and I only had to pay around thirty bucks. And that was once a year.

Composite toe ftw and Haix AirPower XR1 are the most comfortable boots I’ve ever worn and are good right out the box. Will run ya about $300 but they lasted me about 3 years when every other boot I’ve tried generally lasted about 1 year including Ariat, Red Wing, Irish Setter and Under Armour.

Red Wing seemed to be out of most of the boots that I looked at.
I love Red Wing Boots and I have the same problem. Had a dealer tell me some tree hugging beotch from Cali is now running the company and running it into the ground. I have worn Red Wing boots for 40 years.

I have the slip in Doc Marten workbooks.
They feel good on your feet. I have had them for years.
I recommend.

Ashby by Irish Setter. I'm on my feet 12hrs a day on concrete floor. These only work boots I'll ever own and wear. Stay away from work boots at Academy and walmart. You make a living on your feet, so take care of them. Invest in good high quality boots.

Thorogood Heritage but they’re expensive.
These are good. They’re union made in the USA. So you at least know what you’re paying for if that matters to you

Thorogood
Approaching year 3 on this pair I have and only had to change the insert once and a dab of shoe glue. Holding steady.

Y'all are gonna think I'm playing. But they are called herman survivors at Walmart. I've owned every pair of work boots on the planet. These are the most comfortable and last the longest imo.

Ariats for me too. Last about 1.5 years of putting them through hell 5 days a week

Most comfortable Timberland Pro and Ariat and Justin's.
To last redwing Pecos is the boot most guys wear in the oilfield when on the floor for there durability.

Good--Thorogoods
Best--Nick's or JKs.
Thorogoods are comfortable but they use thinner leather. A pair of JKs is 8-9 oz leather. Thorogoods use a 3.5 oz. But you get what you pay for.
I've got several pairs of work boots over 600 bucks but I'm wearing them 365 days a year and in any weather situation.
