Something that you love to do that can support you and your family. Life is too fn short to be miserable from your career

Accounting, Finance, Engineering.
Eta: unless you want make a lot of money. If that's the case, get a GED and be an operator. Starting salary is a quarter million a year at 18.

Identify your gifts/what you are good at. Not a hobby. You will be more successful and happier long term. I have seen people crushing it with a food truck and miserable as an IT guy.

Lots of R&D in the quad.

You are in college to find a career. Things like history and literature are great and important but they are hobbies not majors.
Exclude those type majors and you’ll do fine.

Information Technology
This is a solid career as well, but what I would do is get another functional degree and learn IT with it. For example, get an accounting or finance degree and get a masters in data & analytics. That's where the serious money is at.

Go work a job somewhere first for a couple years so you can appreciate a paycheck and understand why education is important.

Plant operator would be the #1.
Or a grounds man that only works in the quad.
Actually the latter is the only ideal job.

really depends on where your aptitudes lie and what you like to do. Fields that look good for the future are those that will be difficult to replace with computers (i.e. engineering, medical, etc.). At this point in the world, I wouldn't do anything that can be completely done with a computer.
FWIW, I find that if a field of study is not pretty damn difficult, the resulting career probably won't pay much.
