Agreed.

I carry a 365XL. Awesome gun.

I will say, applauding no required training tote a weapon is not ideal. A short-tempered 18yo is not the best mix.

Not what I carry but a hot 410 Taurus judge gets it done

Birth

It got bigger as I got older

The ammo pouch got closer to the floor with age tho.

Taurus Judge is the only correct answer

I know some folks love that gun but its the only gun Ive ever purchased that did not function out of the box.

Taurus in general has always been a poor quality firearm, especially with their semi-autos.
MOST of the revolvers work OK, but I don't trust OK.
Their Beretta M92 clone is decent.

Bring on the downvotes...

FWIW, I've never trusted Mossberg quality either. (more downvotes)

I don’t understand the question. I’m 60. I usually carry a S&W M&P9 Shield IWB. I also rotate a Sig P365 and a Taurus GX4 with a 13-round extended mag (don’t diss it, you cannot shame or dissuade me. They have stepped it up last 10 years).

As far as a pocket pistol, what’s the point and what does age have to do with it? I guess something like a S&W Bodyguard in .380 or similar is good if you just want to slip something in your pocket. Don’t know why you don’t just get a good IWB holster, though.

I used to think the same thing until I got one. It allows me to easily have something on me at times that were too impractical or uncomfortable to carry before, like at the gym, or the lake or beach with my shirt off, or when I'm in gym shorts and just need to run a quick errand. Or in my case, I wear chef pants to work, and I prefer pocket carry to the calf holster I used to need. It also makes a good backup if you're inclined to carry a backup (I usually don't, but the option is there).

And people like to laugh at .380's but with modern ammunition and newer models allowing up to 13 rounds, you have a pretty good chance of eliminating any threat you may encounter.

That makes sense. I can see the use for that. I used to wear an elastic belly band holster for when I was wearing gym shorts. It’s just a hassle to put on and off.

I’m a fan of .380. I have a Bersa Thunder and Ruger LCP Max in .380. Inexpensive but they will get the job done with the right ammo. I’m not standing in front of one!

I’m 43 …. I have been carrying firearms with me since 97… my walk-around weapon has been the same S&W .40 the last 15 years(same model not the same gun)… first weapon I ever owned was a .25…

I started in my 20's.

Better to have and not need, than need and not have.
