I thought it was II if there was a third one.

It also is used where the father goes by a different first name or nickname than the son, when they both have the same names.

If you are named the same as your father you would be a "Jr" If you are named the same as your grandfather then you would be a "II"
Or if you are the first born son, you are a "Jr." and if you are the second born and share the father's name, you are a "II".

I have the same name as my dad. He thought junior sounded trashy so I am a II.
He isn't a senior nor a "I", he's just his regular name.

Did the camp counselor that diddled you go by II?
Posted on 4/26/18 at 1:54 pm to WG_Dawg
What's trashy is not using the proper naming rule.
quote:
Both are used to identify that the person is the second in the family to have the name
Jr is used when the son has the same name as the father
The second (II) is used when the elder family member is anyone other than the father

Douchey. Even more Douchey, I know a father and son with the same name. The father is "I", the son is "II."

Get me a medium Powerade slush and practice falling down, I’ll be there in 5.

This is true. Also, If the Sr. dies then the Jr. should be converted to II.

II checking in as well. Same exact full name as my father. I don't know the reasoning why it's II instead of Jr. My parents wanted to be diff?
