Gonna call Marriott Corporate and DM them on Messenger. Unfortunately I don’t have Twitter to have a more public forum. But I put my information in Chat GPT and it gave me a solid script and how to follow up.

To be fair to Tyrell you’re exactly the demo for the nose candy

When I stayed at The Westin in Dallas I took one look at the valet staff and decided to park my own truck in the garage and walk with the rest of the plebs. It’s just not worth handing your property over to these people no matter how convenient it is

I don’t trust anyone with my vehicle let alone a stranger. It’s crazy to me how many people just hand over their keys.

So to be clear, they stole it from the hotel garage or your home?

Change the title of this thead as I mentioned. If you "Google" Westin Stole my car, this thread comes up. You need to make the title more explicit. This will start to get attention.
Per linkedin, Jeff Kaiser is the Marriot International Social media manager. I'm pretty sure his email is Jeff.Kaiser@Marriott.com.
Send him an email and be really explicit in saying that Westin in New Orleans was complicit in the theft of your truck. Make sure and say that Westin is trying to sweep it under the rug and isn't assisting whatsoever in assisting you and you are at the end of your rope and are getting ready to start making some noise. Mention that due to the corruption and activities of the representees of the Westin in New Orleans, you are going to be out 10's of thousands of dollars potentially. Be sure to let them know that you have contacted the local news station and are trying to set up an interview. Include a copy of the police report number and make sure you communicate that they CAN NOT produce your key.
Copy this email address "customer.care.resolution@marriott.com" This is an email to the Marriott executive resolution team.
Shoot the email off this morning and let it be the first thing they all see when they get to work and check their email.
Your goal is for the Westin folks in New Orleans not to get contacted by you but to be contacted by the folks so high up in their organization they are wondering what happened. Sorting this out should be everyone's number one priority.

How is this a real question?

Because I put a question mark after what I wrote out.
Either answer it or ignore idc. Otherwise bite me jackoff

If you can read this and you're not able to answer the question yourself, his reply to you was valid.

Went to a work event last night and used the VALET service at The Westin Hotel, and come back this morning and my truck was completely gone. The thieves disabled my onstar and camera footage shows people in ski masks taking it within an hour of it being parked. Sick to my stomach

He doesn't say where he comes back to. Did he leave the work event and drive home or did he end up staying the night??

They'll say that aren't liable.
(Which is, of course, bs)
The parking company is an independent subcontractor, the loss should br covered by your ins company, etc
Good luck.

Ok then be clear about that. Why i asked. Im not going to instantly assume that all this would be done at a large hotel garage in less than an hour. Now I know it's possible.
I'm not from Nola so not familiar with all the updated ghetto tactics.

This is true. BUT the valet is considered the first customer service point of contact, and reflective on the business they represent. So if able to create a big enough stink Westin will definitely find a way to smooth it over. Not just leave it up to the valet companies insurance to cover the replacement. The valet co could also bend over backwards to figure something out cause their acct is on the line. Especially if theyve been racking up issues and on the fence of losing the acct.

hances of recovering my truck are pretty Nil in my opinion, so what do I do about getting a new truck? This one was paid for and I wasn’t expecting to buy one anytime soon, but I probably won’t get enough from insurance to cover a new vehicle
What’s going to really piss you off is when NOPD finds your vehicle (think insurance company has a 30 day window) and it’s wrecked and smells like a weed factory AND insurance forces you to keep the vehicle
