Whoa the victim complex is strong with this one.
The majority of blacks don't like whites based on what you read online and see on TV. No real world experiences, just like I expected.

Based on your posting I'd disagree.
I've noticed that TH03 consistently likes to take the high horse position. Doesn't bother me, but he seldom comes down.

There must've been an admin shift change. Sudden anchor attached. Thread is harmless.

My family wasn't racist because my gram raised her best friends daughter after she (BF) died. Gram was white and the friend was black but her young daughter was taken in and raised among my aunts and uncles as a sibling.
My family is all blonde haired, blue eyed peeps but nevertheless no one would question the fact that this girlchild was one of us. (this was the 1950's)
One of those uncles grew up married his wife, had kids and then they divorced. Well the exwife came up pregnant by a black/mixed man. My uncle claimed the child, gave him our family name and raised him the rest of his kids. (Y'all can call him "beta" but I call him awesome).
That boy grew up to be a great dad and his daughter is now a actress/activist in hollywood - not the lib leftist type, just one that puts her time, her money and talents into creating programs for children who need them the most).

You were raised in the This Is Us family?

I was born and raised in a small town in Southwestern Mississippi in the mid 70s and early eighties. I am one of very few people my age who actually witnessed segregation.
In a prior post I mentioned being born in 52 and I was in grade school when they integrated McDonough 19 in the lower 9th ward of N.O.
I can remember the protesters outside the school when the cops ushered the black kids into school and them chanting "2,4,6,8, We don't want to integrate. 8, 6, 4,2, We don't want no Jigaboo."
My parents pulled me and one of my younger sisters out of that school and sent us out of Parish to St. Bernard Schools by using a relatives address living in the area.
It wasn't until I was a senior in high school that the high school I attended had their first black student enroll.
A lot of my neighborhood friends attended Francis T. Nicholls High School on St. Claude Ave. and I remember the fights they had when more and more black students entered the school. At the time, Nicholls High was called The Rebels and after a while it was changed to The Bobcats, and this was, for many of my friends, a reason to get pissed and get into fights almost daily.
Some old habits die hard.
Edited to change from Panthers to Bobcats after it was pointed out I had the wrong cat as Nicholls mascot.

Well when you only make up 13% of the population and you commit over 50% of homicides nation wide that's a lot of killing for such a small population of people. Might want to re-evaluate your facts
It's all relative. If you want to write off a race of 40,000,000+ people because 400 or so white people were killed by black people last year, go ahead. It seems pretty ignorant to me, but you do you.

It’s not about black on white homicide it’s about violence against humanity period

Okay, what percentage of violence against humanity is acceptable to you from a given race? What percentage do you think justifies writing off an entire race?

Actually, it was changed to "Bobcats".
But that is a great recollection and insight

Thanks you for the clarification, I stand corrected. But I do remember the black students really pushing for Panthers and Bobcats was a compromise by both parties.
Panthers didn't go down well with the white students since the Black Panther Movement was very active, and violent at that time.

Like most in this thread my grandparents seemed to hate a certain culture more than the person. I know one of my grandfathers was born in 1940 says the n word more than anyone i know and doesn't really want people in to family marrying blacks, but he is nice to all races, one of his daughters married a guy who was half indian half mexican and he had no problem with that. He also refers to all black people as the n word, not out of hate. I remember he tild a story one time about how a ___ friend of his had his back one night when another n word tried to rob him. Thats just how he described him he was his n@$%er friend
. He really hated the clan thought they were crazy as shite.
The reason i know that last part about the kkk is because when i was younger probably 8 or 9 i asked him if he liked the kkk since he said the n word so much i assumed he hated black people since thats what i was taught in school. He said hell no! There a bunch damn criminals who deserve to all be locked up.

Growing up in Clinton/Zachary, I was the only person I knew who's father had black people as close personal friends. He was going to west Baton Rouge in the 50s to see b.b. King, lighting Hopkins, and others like Slim Harpo in the black juke joints. He just didn't care. I take after him.
My mom used to be a lot more racist than she is now, but you can never take the Mississippi out completely (where she was born and where her mom was from).

People feel most comfortable around people of their own ethnic background and similar values. In that regard we are all a bit racist, even if it does not come with hate that the extremists perpetuate.
I’ve always admired people willing to cross over and genuinely accept others, without giving up their own identity, or believing they are somehow better. It’s still very difficult to do that, and humanity still has a long way to go. Maybe one day.

Umm let’s get this straight first of all. You said blacks commit a small percentage of violent crime. I said your wrong. End of story. I’m not writing off any race. It’s just an incredible statistic

My dad had and still has his belief that there are two type of black people if you catch my drift.
Haha My dad is the exact same way about both races. He just hates trashy people. Which I do too, regardless of color.
If you wear slippers in Walmart with you pajamas at 2 PM, you're trashy.
If you have an EBT card, on welfare and have never tried to get off or support yourself, you're trashy.
If you have multiple kids (3 or more, I get second marriages) with multiple people, you're trashy.
If you wear your pants below your waist, you're trashy.
I could go on forever.
