Do you get upset over that many things? Maybe you have more issues than you think.

Hey. I'm not the one crying over shoes...

I hate that the water company is ran by morons.
That clothes are all made by sweatshops.
Etc...

But please go on examininexplaing how your 20 year Jordan fetish was ruined by one ad, it's so refreshing and enlightening.

Piers Morgan crushed it.

quote:

Then the announcement of the Nike campaign occurred, and that was too much for Morgan. He wrote, “ … it turns out Nike have not just been paying him vast sums of money throughout this whole protest process, they have also just signed him up to a whacking new multi-million dollar deal. So in terms of financial reward, he hasn’t really sacrificed much at all, let alone 'everything.' Indeed, it could be argued that Kaepernick will now make more money from Nike and the vast PR impact of this new deal than he ever would have done as an ageing, declining football player.”

Morgan quoted Jason Whitlock, Fox Sports commenter, who bristled, “Told y’all from Day One this has always been about the money. All of it. Revolutionaries aren’t sponsored by major corporations. It’s been a hustle from the giddy-up.” Morgan commented, “He’s got a point hasn’t he?”

Morgan concludes, “Until today, I genuinely thought Colin Kaepernick was acting purely from a point of fiercely held principle, and one I happen to agree with. Now, I’m not so sure. By taking Nike’s money, Kaepernick’s made it seem like he won’t salute the flag, but he will bow down to the dollar. And by filling his boots with corporate cash, he’s made a mockery of any suggestion that he’s been ‘sacrificing everything.'”

So..
You've been "obsessed with Nike, since the Jordan Days" yet never owned a pair of Jordans.
Then why use Jordan as a metric? Why not say "the eighties"?

Oddly misleading opening statement. If you haven't owned Jordans then you haven't"been obsessed with Nikes since the Jordan Days".

Because that was a point of reference

I never owned a pair of Jordan’s. Sorry to disappoint you.

Well your point of reference was an odd one.
I never liked high tops so I too don't own Jordans. So I say "I've been wearing Nikes since I was a kid"

I was a teenager when the “Just do it” campaign started 30 years ago. I was a Jordan fan but never owned a pair. Is that okay?

When I said Jordan days, I was referring to the playing days and whe he was the face of Nike. Nothing to do with shoes.

You’re really bothered by my choice of words aren’t you?

Believe in something" = Believing Police should change their profiling ways of African Americans before African Americans change their behavior, or culture of shooting one another...

having children out of marriage, out of work with no education... and all the stuff that comes with it...

I mean, has anyone asked the police...

"hey when you see a young black guy in certain situations, walking and talking a certain way, what goes through your mind?"

"regardless, you shouldn't think that way, look at us as individuals"

Yet, so many blacks stick together in groups...just because they share the same skin color...

I don't understand any of it...none of it makes sense...

nothing is going to change until fatherhood is restored...
