If we were trying to be honest about this, the percentage of gay people who groom younger boys/teens would be much higher than the percentage of straight people who do the same.

I think the bigger part is that they look at the "gay movement" as this big, irreverent, flamboyant, "frick you", counterculture. Now that they've got every major corporation, government, and national institution embracing them, they have this need to keep lashing out because "acceptance" has never really been their goal. These people want to be viewed as the freaks of society, but they've always done it under the guise of "being accepted". Much like every single "equality movement" in the last 20 years, it's got absolutely nothing to do with equal treatment and everything to do with special treatment.
