#5 at Santa Maria is harder.
Of course, I birdied it the last time I played it.

I enjoy playing it for cheap practice, but the apartment complexes lining the course are definitely sketchy as hell.
I used to live there back in 2000. The clubhouse in the back had some mean bloody marys. Tons of break ins when I was there. My friend was standing outside my front door one morning and the stripper's boyfriend next door was playing with his .45. It went off, went through their window, and went straight through my friend's calf, shattering the bone. We called 911 and I run out with the kitchen towel I had just been drying dishes with and hold it up against the bullet wound. All while theres 5-6 people passing blunts in my living room.

Webble Beach. #3...toughest hole in all of golf.
Aced it.

I heard from someone recently that they are watering and there is actually decent grass on the greens and fairways. It's been a long time since I've been there though.
Drove by holes 8 and 9 the other day, and to my surprise, I could actually see a defined fairway with rough bordering it. No idea about the rest of the course, but I did a double take when I saw that.

Avoid hooking the ball on holes 4 and 14 which will put "natural hazards" into play.
These "natural hazards",which are unique to Webb. would be drug addicted, weapon carrying residents of apartment complexes who may demand considerable monetary compensation in exchange for return of stray golf ball.

Is this a joke? It's a pretty awful public course. Wouldn't recommend going there unless you're in a financial bind and literally can't afford to go anywhere else.

I played Webb Wednesday afternoon and it was in good shape. They have at least been doing some work on it. The re-did some of those beat up tee boxes, too.

It's not that bad man. I don't think you can beat going out there, paying around 20$ for cart and green fee and playing 18.
The only complaint I have with it, although they roll good, the greens are usually really slow. It's hard to adjust to.
I've payed more for worse.
