No it's not. Some Parishes observe All Saints' Day and give employees off, but not the State. State workers are off on Election Day, Veteran's Day, Thanksgiving, and Acadian Day (the Friday after Thanksgiving).

Aren’t they also off for Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years, Dr. Martin Luther King Day, Columbus Day, Presidents Day, Mardi Gras, Good Friday, Take your kids to work day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Arbor Day and Labour Day?

But what if - and bear with me because this is some radical shite I'm about to say - but what if the weather might be fine later in the morning but unsafe for buses early on?
