It seems like they're firing him based on the assumption that he's a closet racist that cracks these type of jokes in private or something. Maybe, maybe not, but you gotta give the benefit of the doubt...

It was clearly unintentional in the moment.

I live in the south and have been around a few ignorant racists over the years and never have i heard that uttered once as a slur against black people. It's a liberal race baiting fantasy that they busted some vile racist weatherman on the air and are setting out to ruin him. Sad.

I've heard Martin Luther Coon used before. Especially in Shreveport, Louisiana.

I guess we have to add the "c-word" to the list of words we cant ever say in full but only reference in a way only all know what is being said. Eventually "xyz-word" will be hurtful to the whiners....my bad the "w-word".
