It's not supposed to rain until the evening around 7.. But it is supposed to be very windy during the day and get stronger winds later in the day... The riders better strap in...

Depends on where you’re located. Alexandria north has the tornado potential. South of Alexandria should be good on the severe aspect, some models are trending not as wet.

to be sure, first time a trailer is blown up by a tornado, every news outlet is going to run stories about how this could've been prevented if only the bad man hadn't cut somebody's "dream job" at the nws.

the potential is there for LA, Ark, SE MO, Western TN and MS. from what I have been reading it seems more of a line setup, but there could be Super Cells in front of the line that could be bad.

still a lot of time till then.

What’s new? NWS was already getting dragged for this before any cuts were made

Could better analysis, better tools, better man power prevent that from happening?

Every news station in this country relies on data from the NWS, they won't warn a tornado unless the NWS issues a tornado warning

Say and do what you want. Mother Nature wins 100% of the time. You can have all the notices you want, if the storm is gonna destroy, it’s gonna destroy.

The setup is there but a few details are unknown as far as how it will evolve.

Mostly will depend on amount of destabilization in the warm sector.

It'll be a good bowling ball trough ejection with a slight negative tilt to it. There's a low pressure system from the west today that will start moisture return for the setup on Tueday. Pretty amplified trough with stout, divergent flow aloft. Warm sector doesn't look that broad, and the northern extent looks to get pinched off a bit, which is probably the reason for the slight westward shift of the Enhanced area in the most recent SPC update. Looks to have pretty strong forcing which could lead to a messier/linear storm mode. We will probably have strong gradient winds well to the east of the advancing front/progressing low throughout the day on Tuesday. Another mostly nocturnal threat for the north MS and AL folks......yay......

To your north, we are projected to have winds. Some idiot is going to burn brush.
Our bad part is extremely low humidity.

Hope the tanker trucks are rested up from their California dumps. The scars areon the Smokies are beginning to green over, but there's a lot of dead brush and understory to burn up here.
