It's mostly self-loathing whites who aren't from Nola, coming to save the poor oppressed blacks from the evil white southern man. I'd bet most are from the northeast or west coast and don't have black friends.

It actually reminds me of the protests in the early 90's during the Gulf War as college students wanted to protest like mommy and daddy did. That was a sad group playing protest back then...my gosh.
Most times it looked liked a 4 Non Blondes concert had broken out in the Quad.
