No shite.

I keep a jacket in my trunk. Last Fall/Winter it got worn 3 times:
1. LSU Football Game in College Station
2. Spanish Town Parade
3. One LSU baseball game.

Umm i live in south lousiana and ive been sipping coffee on my back porch, its in the 60s.

I dont want it to be in the 50s in may.

It hasnt been that warm yet. Its jacket weather still in the mornings.

Guess people are mad its in the 60s in Louisiana. We had some rain and a cold front come through. I used to live in GA, it gets hot in the mountains in the summer too. Jeez.

I would posit most folks will eventually miss the heat and humidity if they stay away long enough. I love the western US and have lived there through many winters and it was fantastic but I, like most southerners, came home when opportunity presented itself...heat and humidity is part of the charm as much as we bitch about it...and if it is in your DNA you will grow to miss it most likely...

Not gonna lie, It felt awfully nice in South Louisiana last night and at 530 this morning.

But we know that shite is soon about to give way to 90% humidity and 82 degrees at sunrise.

What's great about the Monterey Peninsula is that you can drive 20 minutes east and have a nice warm day. There are many micro climates there. When I lived in Pacific Grove it was always a few degrees cooler than Monterey. I would take a short drive to Carmel Valley for a nice warm up.

Brother in law tried to sell me hard on moving to Anchorage. He absolutely loves it there.... my biggest two hang ups were the traveling to and from Alaska is just a pain in the arse. Very few direct flights from airports then you have to factor in the weather with the travel. And secondly the amount of layers and having to put boots on the kids and yada yada then it's all sloppy outside, tracking it all in, the mud room literally turns into a muddy room looking like some swamp hogs been gallivanting in it. I like being able to slide on some crocs and just walking out the door to the store in my basketball shorts and tshirt

South LA maybe the hottest "feeling" place in the country. I know the AZ desert technically is hotter, but the hot misty water bath that hits you in LA is different

the micro climates are very pronounced.

I'm probably 2 miles as a crow flies from PG and it's significantly more damp and cold.

I'm in Old Monterey and don't get the fog rolling in while PG, Carmel, and Pebble get it almost daily. Stays pretty sunny in our hood.

almost fricking June. High of 61 and cloudy isn't cool

High of 75 and sunny like it is in Southern Cali is cool

I know but daily, 24x7, you have to some how manage to live within the parameters of the "unsustainable political liberal mindset". That overwhelmingly negates everything that normal folks find enjoyable. Ain't nothing cool about Cali.

It was down into the teens to 30s this year for a few weeks. Hovered mostly in the 30s during winter. We got snow and built fires.

It was likewise glorious.

Nothing makes me laugh like the threads started by people who left LA where they come back to tell us how awesome their decision was.

It’s actually a really pleasant morning in NOLA this morning.
