Their country is ridden with corruption within all levels of the government. If you could rid Mexico of it's corrupt leaders and the cartels, Mexico could be a very prosperous country. In fact, it would flourish. Their natural resources alone are incredible.
The people themselves are very good. They're extremely family oriented, they're warm and friendly, hard workers that takes care of family and they do not have a "someone owes me" complex. I'll take Hispanic workers over any other culture. As a group, they're the best workers and best employees. Always at work and always on time.
Are there bad apples in all societies? Sure, but as a whole, they're good folks.

To be fair, it wasn't just Mexican gang members. They came from central America as well. They played the media like a fiddle. Put all the women and children up to the front when they started getting media coverage and also closer to the border.
Anyways, end of rant. I do agree with you, there's lots of hard workers and great people from Mexico. It really sucks for them that their government has allowed the cartels to control them and run that country. Mexico has some really beautiful places. Hopefully, with the huge lithium deposit they found there will entice the government to straighten things up and do right by their great, upstanding citizens and don't let the cartels take over that too. The good people there deserve it. I'm not too confident in that government though.

Feliz Cinco de Mayo amigos. Los restaurantes de Mexicano are probably not happy today. This is usually one of their busiest days of the year with 1/2 price margaritas and mariachi bands. Sucks they’re just curbside right now.

All joking aside, I like Mexicans. Statistically they are not very murderous at all in spite of their lower incomes and educational levels. They sort of bust the whole idea of poverty being the cause of high homicide rates.
Think about it. Louisiana as a whole has 14.4 homicides per 100,000 citizens a year. If there are 10,000,000 illegals in the country then you'd expect to see them commit 1,440 homicides a year if they were equally as murderous as Louisianians as a whole. That's 28 a week. If illegals killed 28 people in any single week it would be all over the news/internet.
