Y’all realize that freezing rain happens because the air aloft is above freezing but down on ground level it’s at or below freezing so when it falls it melts through the warmer layers and then freezes on contact?

There will be some black ice issues all over the place tonight. It’s raining heavily and the temp is falling at a steady pace tonight. Gonna get to 29 and freeze all the bridges. Drunk Mardi Gras drivers are going to be a clusterfrick.
