We don't do enough for our vets.

In fact most of us are completely unaware of the things that our vets go through.

Some, most, are taught that having/admitting to having ptsd or a brain injury is weakness. So they suffer through things we can't even conceive. Sometimes, completely alone.

I wouldn't be opposed to having a "Vets" board. A place for vets to go when they need help.

There are tons of options for vets to find help both for mental and physical issues.

They have lifetime benefits for treatment too.

What more should we do?

Won’t happen. We vets are far to suspicious of the government we once served.

If anyone admits PTS they go on a list and their life is pretty much screwed from that point forward. Anything from guns to children can be taken away. Have a vindictive ex-wife that wants to claim abuse? Boom done.

We do more than enough for our veterans. A lifetime of healthcare, educational benefits that all the blue haired homos would squirt out of their buttholes for and more resources and hospitals than you can shake a stick at.

Agree. To an extent. On the other hand, a lot of guys use that shite as a crutch and it gets old.

The same thing can happen to any citizen that takes depression meds

I have a family member with 5 kids. They get more benefits than you’ll ever know.

As a vet who’s gone though what I’ve gone through, I’m here to tell you this is not even remotely necessary.

To my fellow brothers, go to the fricking gym. It’s the best medicine on the planet. Pop in some music and move. Do that shite every day. After a month, your shite will get easier. It’s how I’ve avoided all the fricky shite that goes along with the bullshite.

Guessing some of you have never dealt with the VA

It’s life changing, in the worst way possible

Stop going, you’ll be better off. Eat better, get off meds, and talk to those who you value. Much better than the VA bullshite.

I have a cousin who served in Desert Storm and drove fuel trucks In the supply lines. About 10 years after he came home he mysteriously came down with PTSD. He never fired a shot or was in harms way but now “suffers” horribly and needs government money.

His own father drove Higgins boats on D Day and never complained about his plight. What has happened to some of our soldiers?

The VA in NOLA is actually really good. Just got a giant cortisone shot for my shoulder and booked 15 sessions of PT.

I’ve had one shite doctor and she was replaced as soon as I asked. My medicine is shipped to my home and my appointments are always honored. Check out the VA in NOLA.

Abolish the VA give them the same insurance the house and senate members have and let them go anywhere they want.

Don't they have to go through qualification for that? I was listening to a guy on a podcast talk about seeing doctors and case managers to qualify for extended or permanent benefits.

VA choice is the same thing. I go to a local clinic but any emergency or specialty provider I get private care. Thanks Drumpf!

Yes and it’s not like ppl think. They don’t just hand over benefits. You can’t just fill out a form saying “I have XYZ” and boom 100%. Most ppl have no clue of a C&P exam or process. They just think every vet is hooked up.

As a vet. We have plenty of benefits

I had a GI Bill and a VA Loan… I don’t need anything else. However, for many vets the current political correctness, wasting government money spent overseas, and the pussification of the military sits wrong with most of us.
