THere is a pretty big drug/pill problem in Da Parish. In fact, the SBSO Sheriff's own kid died of an overdose. The police are very sensitive to drug issues here.
Havint said that, it wasn't like this was a raid or a bust. They responded to a domestic dispute and everyone apparently was high as a kite. So, they got a warrant, looked around, and found a damn candy store in there.
Pot is, last I checked, still illegal here. I guess they felt they could not ignore this much of it.
But fear not, our DA will cut a deal with the hippie, make him pay a $50 fine, spend 4 hours on a Sat morning picking up trash, and life will go on.
