Cant say the same for Africa and other 3rd world countries. They are fricked but the US will close borders and travel and handle it before it becomes too widespread.

Wait until it hits (if it hits) New Delhi, it will arrive back in the US before we can close air travel to the East and it will likely arrive en mass. Ebola popping up in India is a nightmare scenario for the entire planet.

You were arguing with me about crude oil prices and oil and gas jobs. Thats what I do, I work for a company that ships crude oil and i buy/sell crude oil all day.

Stick to drawing up lending papers.

Good and I know what you were getting at. That doesn't make you correct about what could potentially happen just like me working in real estate doesn't make me 100% correct about the bubble we're in.

Maybe since you do it for a living you need to read what analyst James Williams wrote the other day about the drop in oil prices or read what Gary Ross the CEO of PIRA Energy Group said. They both have said if oil dips below $80 and stays there for a period of time 2015 will be a rough one for our economy. Basically, a wake up call is on the way but I know since you buy and sell crude oil you know more than those guys that make millions/billions managing, trading, or betting against energy markets.

The drop in pricing will give us a short term boost but long term it will frick us. Bookmark this thread to refer back to when it happens.

The prices are definitely dropping, buts its because of the shales found in Canada and our domestic shales. Like I said, gas prices follow oil prices, not the other way around.

I know they're dropping. That's potentially bad for the USA long term is the point. There are tons of articles you can Google from the past week. Im on mobile or I would link you myself.

Well I bought a fresh supply of water for me and my minions last night at WalMart and it was plain to see that nobody else there was preparing for anything.

I'll always remember the one time post-Katrina (when everyone started taking hurricanes seriously) that I tried to buy water and there was none left. If I can help it, I'll never have that feeling again.

Flu, plague, yellow fever, pox, malaria....etc

Happens all the time.

You never died of dysentery on the Oregon trail?

We are smarter but sickness and disease adapts and mutates.

The best was when you got to write your own epitaph. So many detentions given in school on computer days.
