most cultures do..... there is a certain culcha that doesnt. But you get labeled when you bring that up.
Which makes no sense. Saying it’s a cultural issue is actually very unracist (if that’s a word). It means it’s a learned behavior that can be fixed. No one is saying it strictly because of the color of someone’s skin and can never be changed (that would be racist).

Forget that he was an LSU athlete, or an LSU student for a minute; he was a kid. I remember when I was 20 and living life invincibly. How much more insensible BS does the community have to go through before it’s cleaned up? Or atleast pushes for it to be cleaned up. This is not news any family wants to wake up to. Prayers to the Sims family and friends.

too worried about the Police thats why. Our mayor is worried about police training, of which nothing has changed instead of the real issues. Of course we are a country who never lays blame on the people who need blame.

Did you miss the video of the two shirtless baws pumping steel into the sleeveless baw who brought a baseball bat to a gun fight over a mattress?

And now we have our worthless mayor tweeting how she gets a call everytime someone gets murdered and how we must get better as a community.
Guess what SWB, talking about it will solve nothing, having equally worthless Gary Chambers and his crew involved will do nothing.
Get off your arse and at least attempt to initiate some change that could make and impact and be effective. As a “leader”, this is what your supposed to do.
What will happen as a result? Likely nothing and we will have some more shootings over the weekend. Charge that phone up SWB, you’ll be getting some more calls.

I have always wished the NFL and NBA players would focus on the massive amounts of black on black violence. I am dumfounded they chose to use the American flag to protest the few black men killed by Police and not champion the cause of brining massive attention to the killing sprees in Urban American cities.

Nice for the feels but totally inadequate inline with the facts of black on black violence vs the few cases of Police brutality. It is hard for a black man to stand up and gather togehter an entire league of prodimenaly black ahtletes to make a statement about the insane rates of black violence in our country?

I just heard Marcus Spears address this.
He said, like everyone else who grew up in that area, he knew people growing up that was shot and killed and that it's something you never get immune to. And that in order to put a stop to all of this these kids need to be taught to value life and that no one has the right to decide when to take another human beings life.
That is part of it, but also.. It's too easy to get a gun on the street. These are the type of things that happen when someone who has a gun, gets into an emotional situation. Something happens that pisses them off and they react by grabbing their gun. Throw in drinking and getting high (don't give me shite about "that's why marijuana should be illegal, because it makes people do shite like this. That's not at all what I am saying.. And not to mention. if you make that argument, then I would just say.. It's illegal and it happens so that's not a justifiable reason to keep it legal. If no one planned on bringing up the marijuana thing then ignore this).

quote:Yes, because then you'd be blaming black violence on black people, and telling them to take personal responsibility. It's much easier to scapegoat someone else and do nothing
