She is going to give in to him again. He is giving ignorance as his reason for his outbursts. He is making excuses.
I hope she keeps him there and cuts his witnesses off finally, but I don't think she is going to do it.

What should be happening right now...
Dorow: "the next words out of your mouth is the name of your next witness or your defense is closed"... AND ENFORCE IT

Yes he does. That is exactly what he wants because it "wastes time."

Yep.

Just ask him once. He is going to argue the first two times and drag out the third before he calls someone.

He broke the judge again. Such a shame. This should be a teaching case for judges on how to handle and how not to handle these types of defendants particularly when representing themselves.

I truly believe this is it... if he doesn't give a witness name when they come back she will end his case-in-chief

I'd give him 5 minutes to name his witness and if he doesn't, she will move to close.

She said she would ask 3 times... 2 more times than I would ask

So lunch ended about 12:30. In the last hour, they've dismissed the previous witness and . . .?

This is the kind of shite head who preys on a weak society. This judge is a prime example of our weak society.
Brooks has never been told no. He has always done what he wants when he wants. I think spending the rest of his life in jail would actually be the best punishment for him. Solitary confinement where he can argue with the walls all day long. No one to intimidate. Just silence and irrelevance. Dragged around in chains until he is broken. Putting him to death would be doing him a favor.

"Mr. Brooks, the next words out of your mouth better be which witness you'd like to call. I don't want to hear commentary, argument, or opinion. If I hear anything other than a witness's name, your defense is over. I don't even want to hear you clear your throat."

The reaction of the Rekieta stream at the word "obstreperous" made me laugh out loud

Not a single thing has been accomplished other than a waste of time and the judge being railroaded by him. She threatens, but she doesn't stick with it.

She called a break after he went right back into making comments as the jury came back in.
