I haven’t kept up with this at all—what is his defense? Accident? Wasn’t him?

He hasn't really provided a defense at this time. He deferred his opening statement until after the State rests their case.

Anything he can think of. No subject matter jurisdiction is one of them. He firmly believes he will win on this. When, I don't know.

At some points, it seems he believes he has not been identified as the driver. He has, but its like he ignores that.

He believes all of his objections are valid.

He believes the judge should be recused. He thinks he has that right. He doesn't understand that he has no grounds.

One of the most interesting parts of the video with the detective was when the detective was trying to get him to look at the video of him driving through the crowd and injuring people. Brooks said something like "you want me to see that my life is over". He made that comment a few times.

One of the lawyers on the Rekieta stream made a good point...Brooks must think there is some great "record in the sky" that all of his objections and "for the records" go to that will help his appeal.

This is exactly what the left wing media claimed right after it happened. They didn't mention him at all, they said an SUV did it. Seriously

Brooks still doesn't understand the DA's office needs to know when he plans on calling a witness so they can fetch them for him

And now he's claiming he doesn't know the true nature and cause of the charges against him. And he can't help but talk as the jury is coming in.
