Every victim deserves a max sentence on their charge. That’s a great way to look at it. At first I was like what’s the point of 800 years in prison (or whatever), but that’s very valid way to look at it

I agree. It was an excellent point to make. Those victims who had the strength and guts to appear and those who simply could not all deserve their due. Consecutive is the way to go. He will be in prison for life regardless, but that's not the point. He deserves punishment on every count. The victims deserve that.

Did Brooks' mother end up going on zoom? Had to leave at 3pm yesterday so I missed the rest of the impact statements.

ETA: He did not like it when the DA "disrespected" him when she talked after the victims. She told him she didn't care what he thought.

She made that abundantly clear. She told him she was talking and to sit down and be quiet. She called him a coward multiple times. It was a beautiful thing to see him ticked off again and the DA able to tell him off basically especially after all of his eye rolling, clapping and patting his chest when the victims were speaking. That was all disrespectful. He deserves zero respect.

The DA also read his criminal history from multiple states. When she finished, she said that was all they knew of at this time.
