Wisconsin is a unanimous verdict state.

No.

Anyone know if the charges require a unanimous verdict?
All criminal verdicts must be unanimous. There were a few states left, Louisiana included, that used to allow a 10-2 criminal verdict but that was ended a few years ago after a Supreme Court case.

The post has already been edited to clarify it was a joke. The sheriff's office will have reddit hand over the IP of who made the post, interview them, determine it was a hoax, and Darrell goes to prison.

Just because someone committed a crime in the past doesn't change the idea that they are innocent until proven guilty on any current charges.
i didn't say it did change that.
Simply that i think it's unfair to not be able to bring up the criminal history of someone on trial.
and in this case even more so. Mother fricker ran over people with his car. WHy the hell can't you bring up the fact that this dipshit has done something similar before, TWICE.

This entire trial has been televised. The entire world knows as much as the troll does. There is no issue here.

Whether he gets it or not, going forward there are going to be a lot of dirt bags having family members post on Reddit.

Did not know that. I thought the Louisiana issue was related specifically to death penalty cases.
At this point, his best bet is to hope the investigation leads somewhere. Otherwise, he may be able to use it as an appeal.

Do yall really think all it takes to get a mistrial is someone posting something on Reddit?
Every criminal defendant ever would do it.
Every criminal defendant ever would do it.

So he's "very alarmed" that there is possible bias on the jury in support of him? Never heard of reddit?

"Your honor, I'd like to submit to evidence this post from the OT. The post is from a juror saying they'll recommend a sentence of 350 years"

Do we know if he ever got his shower?

I'm flummoxed that this dude doesn't realize the entire fricking trial is live streamed to the world

"What about if this happens in the future?" Declaring a mistrial because of a prank means it's 100% going to happen in every criminal trial in the future.

Prosection just laughing around.

Any updates on the jury? Came into work today but fully plan on hauling arse home as soon as the notice comes.
