Probably better to get out in front of it anyway. You don't want some juror wondering if his dumb arse is right, and she's doing a good job of explaining it to them.

It is just funny how he focuses on minor bullshite like that.

He is look at 6 life sentences plus 1067.5 years and he melts over bail jumping and the number of charges. It makes no sense.

Nevertheless it was a dumb mistake for the prosecutor to make.

If he gets off for any of the charges, I expect him to celebrate, even with all 6 life sentences.

Just to have something to hold on to.

D.A. Opper saying they could've charged Brooks with reckless endangering for every person along that parade route... whether injured or not... spectator or parade member

Make that argument in your closing Brooks... not an appropriate objection

The Wisconsin definition of a "parade float" is a lot different than Louisiana's

You know, even if he did honk I think it could reasonably be interpreted that he did it so the people he hit would know he was doing it. He wanted to see their faces.

I think she did a good job with that one. Honking your horn means you know someone is there. That's going to stick with the jury.

Yeah, I think that plus reinforcing that he could have stopped at any time and didn't is going to be all they need to get them to vote on intent.

That was powerful...he hit 1 person and kept going...he hit 2 and kept going...he hit 3 and kept going...that's intentional.

I saw someone make a comment on the locals about him being almost out of gas so he couldn't slow down. Well yea. Everyone at TD knows the faster you go the less gas you use.

DA is getting better and better as her closing goes on. Brooks showing his arse during his closing will seal the deal even more, especially since the jury will see him on full display probably for the first time.
