I am not finished the book. But I read about how there was a Crochet guy who was asked by the police to sell for them and he declined. All of a sudden he was "accidently" shot by the police.

It seemed like these girls knew more than they should. Where I am in the book, I am under the assumption the police had something to do with it.

It would be convenient if everyone thought this.

Was he the same drifter that was charged with the KK's corner murders?

I have no doubt Danny knows what happened.

Brittney Gary was my niece, Danny and I talk on a regular about things.

There’s absolutely no way a drifter, just like Richard and his brother, were smart enough to pull off 8 murders without being charged. Trashball crackheads wouldn’t be getting away with something like that without a puppet master.

Too much happened on the inside for it to have been a drifter or a couple of local druggies, even ones as well known as Frankie and Billy.

Evidence went missing and/or got destroyed while in police custody. A truck that was thought to dump one of the bodies was cleaned with bleach and sold across the Texas state line prior to being searched for evidence...by an ex cop.

My theory is it’s Semmes. Got hooked on coke or whatever and was probably fricking the first girl they found. I’m guessing she probably ODed while she was with him or he was present in the trailer getting high or dealing.

Richard and and Billy was the center of the drug activity. He knew he had those two by the balls. Had them take care of her and dispose the body in exchange for throwing the investigation away from them and keeping them out of jail. The rest of the girls were all apart of the same circle and all knew who was behind the strings.

This is all over the place, but I think it’s the gist.

The drugs and prostitution go higher. I have personally seen the DA high out of his mind several times.

Watching Jennings 8 on ID is Jennings really that trashy? by TDcline
Jennings is in one way or another just like every single town that size in Louisiana. Unbelievably trashy, tons of culcha, STDs, bad education, litter, pit bulls, and the general disarray that is Louisiana.

Jennings, Crowley, Opelousas, Eunice, Bunkie, Tallulah, and several others are all interchangeable

I agree that these towns are all sometimes shockingly trashy.
Go to Wal-Mart on a Friday night, or the town fair/Festival, and be prepared to be blown away and fear for the future of the country.

I really don’t know what’s going to happen when all the well-off baby boomers start dying out.
There will be far more nice housing supply than middle-class families will demand.
A high % of the younger people with good jobs that elect to live in these towns actually buy or build in the country, so it seems inevitable that the towns will go on a precipitous slide into disrepair and general crappiness.

All that said, Jennings isn’t as trashy as that documentary makes it seem.

They do whatever they can to get money to feed their habits, therefore; they do not have money for anything else so they have to do shite like go put minutes on a phone.

Addicts will always find ways to get money to feed their habit. They will steal it, etc, etc. But as crazy as this sounds, there are addicts who will only do things to feed their habit that they wouldn't do for anything else.

You’re lying if you say you don’t have family members that isn’t in the highest of the social pipeline and/or has made stupid decisions to live a stupid lifestyle.

Anyone who gets "surprised" at the level and amount of just pure trashyness in America just hasn't been paying attention.

It's easy to see on these type shows because that's what the focus is but it truly is everywhere.

It isn't just small town Louisiana.

Automation and a basket of tuned out, inbred morons is what will rule the country someday.
