What a fricking waste of resources and tax dollars.
It's low hanging fruit. It boosts arrest stats, etc. to help the law enforcement agency appear better than they are. The real measure is how much violent crime is taking place and in that regard many cities including New Orleans are more akin to a war zone.

Prostitution is illegal simply because the government can't profit off of it. It's difficult to tax an independent escort who advertises on the DL.

Go away.

I guess their justification is that hookers often have drugs and that’s why they’re selling themselves, but I don’t get it either. I can legally pay a masseuse $100 to touch and rub on every part of my body except the one I really want touched. How come I can’t pay a hooker $150 to touch that one part exclusively? It’s like she’s a specialist, you know?

So prosecute those crimes. This isn't rocket surgery.

Would rather them get the extra cash income on this then speed traps. since i dont use hookers it will not impact me.

First they came for the hookers, and I did not speak out -- because I am not a hooker...

Interesting, I would have assumed that it was entertaining for them, low risk and high potential for hilarious stories.
I hunt with a guy who is an under cover drug buyer in Albuquerque. He can go on for hours about all of the things he encounters.

I used to enjoy Cops, but looking back on that show, those stings they ran were really shitty.
Shows like DEA on Nat geo were the worst. The cops were such tools and did the same thing every episode.
Bust some dude with a small amount of coke or weed. Have him tell them where he got it then bust a small time drug dealer and try to get him to flip.
They were acting like they were civil servants when all they really did was stop a dude from blowing off some steam and bust a dude trying to get by. They almost never snitched because that would get them killed. It is amazing just how little these cops were doing.

Yet those Asian "massage" parlors shoot up everywhere. If anyone is getting trafficked, it's them.

No, they didn't. The majority were pimped out before they were 18. My wife has worked with these people. There isn't nearly as much "choice" as you think.

I remember seeing a cops where they drove a tractor trailer with Sony TV written all over it down to the hood and parked it like it had engine trouble. Inevitably people would break into it and cops hiding in the back would arrest them.
Complete entrapment.

You need bail money or do they ROR on these things?

oh look another thread started by a cop hating OT meathead. Did you celebrate the death of the Chicago PD commander as well? I bet you did.

How do you afford cable without working?

I see nothing wrong with this. Don't be a thief POS and you won't get arrested.

I agree it's sort of a waste of resources, but I surely wouldn't want hookers and pimps hanging around my neighborhood.
