Hey man, it’s capitalism.

If you don’t like it, start your own business where you’re in charge of the hiring.

Or move to China.

I got laid off last week. I was unemployed for one day. Luckily I found something else right away. This time of year is tough to get laid off because most companies aren't hiring until after the first.

Lol. The commercialization of Christmas has never been higher. It hardly had anything to do with religion anymore.

Year end production evaluations?
Replace less productive higher wage employees with younger and cheaper.

That’s never a fun thing. Even if you’re not a part of it, it still sucks because often you have some “survivor’s guilt” type feelings afterwards.

I’ve been there, on both sides (seeing people go and carrying my own box out). I think this is true for most if you work long enough. But good people always land on their feet.

Stay in touch with the ones that you worked closely with and liked. You never know when your paths might cross again.

Damnit boy. They laid off all non production employees at the plantsite yesterday. They laid off about 900 at the end of September. You weren't by chance working at Shintech ECP?

And then it's the government just ruining your life.

But they can't fire me. Motherfrickers.
