Wall ball: a game I still Don’t know the rules to.

This was always played with older brothers and the rules seemed to change every time. Only consistent part was them pegging us with the ball over and over until we got upset and quit.

Texas Chase was freeze tag but if you went through the legs of the girl you could unfreeze her and kiss her.

And A&M Chase is when you crawl through the legs of a boy then stop halfway and take a gander.

This usually happened when the just let us put the back door and said “go play”.

We had a large grass area behind school.

One teacher always made the call if the field was too wet. If so, that mean four square and the less popular hopscotch.

Loved the juggling club in elementary school! It progressed through scarves > balls > rings > and clubs, each having two test to progress to the next. I could never get past the second rings unfortunately. Now that I’ve typed that, I’m tempted to buy some juggling rings.

Dodge Ball

Our coaches called it murderball and we played it with volleyballs crossways on one end of a basketball court while the girls played whatever the frick on the other side.

quote:

Mumblety-peg (also known as mumbley-peg, mumblepeg, mumble-the-peg, mumbledepeg or mumble-de-peg) is an old outdoor game played using pocketknives.[1] The term "mumblety-peg" came from the practice of putting a peg of about 2 or 3 inches into the ground. The loser of the game had to take it out with his teeth.[2]

quote:

Mumblety-peg is generally played between two people, with a pocket knife. In another common version of the game, two opponents stand opposite one another with their feet shoulder-width apart. The first player then takes the knife and throws it to "stick" in the ground as near his own foot as possible. The second player then repeats the process. Whichever player "sticks" the knife closest to his own foot wins the game. If a player "sticks" the knife in his own foot, he wins the game by default, although few players find this option appealing because of the possibility of bodily harm. The game combines not only precision in the knife-throwing, but also a good deal of bravado and proper assessment of one's own skills.

Butts up. Where we threw a tennis ball at the side of the school and if you didn’t field it cleanly you had to stand there and get drilled. The best was double doinking nerds as they ran to the wall, hit the wall, bounce off their face and get em again

That was wall ball at my school.

Wall ball. With free shots if someone intentionally batted the ball away. Nothing like having to stand on the wall while your peers choose the kid with the biggest arm to firing squad your arse to make the balls drop
