You don't buy a 3k watch because of the $20 purple band. Really trying to understand your logic here.

I don't tell others how to spend their own money.

As for me, I wouldn't wear a watch I may be forced to defend my life over.

Get an Apple Watch, put the purple band on it, set the screen to LsU logo and program it to play neck every time you get a message

All for under $800

I often see women in my travels wearing a 41mm Dayjust, Daytonas and Batgirls, and sometimes a Sub

it's 34mm, will look like quite dainty...most women are wearing 38-40mm these days

I'm gonna be honest, you have some of the worst watch takes that I read in these threads

Almost to the level of Gaston thinking that all metal bracelets suck.

Most of the women that I see wearing luxury watches are wearing Cartier (Tank or Panthere), or 28-31mm Datejusts.

ETA: obviously some women will wear larger watches, but the majority that I see are still wearing smaller watches. 34mm will not look "dainty" on a man unless you have a 7.25"+ wrist.

Most women have small hands, and look better with a watch that fits their proportions.

The "big watch" trend on them looks silly and uncomfortable.

Now, the "commando" trend, I am big fan of. Saves a step...

So, not all trends are bad.

was looking at it due to the purple band as a future watch to wear to LSU games

You know you don't have to buy a Rolex to get a band you like, right?

IYO...

34MM on 7in wrist looks very effeminate these days which is fine if that is the look you are after.

Where do you live to commonly see men wearing 34mm watches?

San Francisco?
Faubourg Marigny?

34/36mm is the classic size for men's watches. Look at older gentlemen, that's the size that a lot of them will wear. I live in the effeminate paradise of Lafayette, LA and wear a 36mm watch most days

Not to bring up another hot button topic with you, but look at how well received the Tudor Black Bay 54 was in the watch enthusiast world. A 37mm diver.

You mean to tell me that people who crave attention will wear larger watches? I wouldn't have guessed that

34 and a 36/37mm is quite substantial in size especially considering the watch bezel and case shape. 2mm without the crown is very noticeable.

36mm (think Dayjust) I think is the borderline for someone with small/average size wrist, anything smaller today (not prior to the 70's) looks like a woman's watch IMO. To each their own.
